Simatutung Waterfalls

For almost 4 hours trip, it's not worth it unless you take a risk of going there through smooth-stoned road.

This Simatutung Waterfall is a waterfall that is about 150M high, called Si Matutung because this waterfall looks smoky when viewed from a distance (Matutung = Matang = Berasap).nnThis location is actually very promising as a mainstay tourist attraction in North Sumatra because there are cross roads, just like the Anai Valley Waterfall in Sumbar (35M), even this waterfall is much higher.nnUnfortunately this place has minimal facilities (the bathroom is there but it is poorly maintained and there is even no water).nnThen the thing that is very unfortunate is that in this location there is a lot of logging for oil palm land, so that it affects the color of the water from this waterfall which looks a bit brownish yellow.nnHopefully the officials in North Sumatra are aware that the forest is not to be exploited until it is not left, but is preserved for the benefit of nature and future generations.
