As one of the 4 National Institute of Technology in Indonesia, it's obvious that ITK is a great place to study. Providing the best, to make the best. It just that the condition are not very likeable at the moment. To be honest, it's too far from the city. The access aren't easy for the student, although it's pretty good as for the time being. In My Honest Opinion, ITK needs more improvement to make the best environment for us student to study.

I was studied here. Such an amazing concept, to have an Institute of Technology, the first one, in Balikpapan. ITS Surabaya is like a brother/sister for ITK. So, the concept of its development, curriculum, and even the atmosphere there, ain't have many differences from ITS Surabaya or any other well-known university/campus in Java Island.
