Visited the market this Tuesday morning around 8 am after the vulcano (people start packing their stuff together around 9 am). it was really interesting to see the people on their daily business and what they sell their (smallest tomatoes I saw so far).nPrice asked for an ikat with 900.000 irp much too high as we think...nEveryone was friendly and happy if you asked to take a picture of them!

Moni’s local market. Lonely planet lists it as occurring on Monday. This is no longer accurate - it’s on Tuesdays weekly.nGood for clothing, small electronics (adapters etc) and food.nThis is a local market so don’t expect handicrafts etc except for the odd sarong and ikat.
