The Law Faculty of Semarang State University is the eighth faculty at Semarang State University. The Law Faculty of UNNES is a further development of the Law Study Program under the auspices of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Faculty of Social Sciences. The birth of the Law Study Program is a response to the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 124/1999, about changing IKIP Semarang, IKIP Bandung, and IKIP Medan to become Universities. With the Presidential Decree IKIP Semarang was changed to Semarang State University, which caused UNNES to have additional authority to produce non-educational staff.nnThe Law Faculty of Semarang State University is the eighth faculty at Semarang State University. This institutional development was carried out by increasing the Law Study Program to the Faculty of Law which received the approval of the Semarang State University Senate on October 10, 2007, and was confirmed with the approval of the Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of Education with Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 3840 / D / T / 2007 and the issuance of Decree Chancellor of Semarang State University Number 14 Year 2007 concerning the Improvement of the Status of the Law Study Program to become the Faculty of Law dated November 30, 2007
