Desa Wisata Fauna Ketingan

Starting from the inauguration of the village gate in the 90s by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, a few days later hundreds of egrets came to Ketingan Hamlet and made nests in almost all the trees there. At first the community considered the birds to be pests, and tried to get rid of the birds.nnBut instead of leaving, the birds multiplied, and multiplied there. Finally the community decided to live side by side with them.nnUntil 2004, Ketingan Hamlet was designated as a Tourism Village, due to the large population of egrets in the area. Come in the morning or evening, when the birds are looking for food and when they return to their nests.nnThere are several homestays, coffee places, restaurants, and hangout places in the Ketingan area.
