Today I went to central library to return a book. I did not find the book drops, so I just entered the library to ask. Before I entered the library, I needed to go through the check for green pass. So I asked the lady who checked the green pass where I could return the book. She said, 'there is a book drop outside, but since you are already here, you can return here'. I asked: 'here? which floor?' She said: 'here'. Actually the return counter is just behind her, but she did not tell me directly, just saying 'here'. Anyway, I showed her the green pass and entered library and saw the return counter. Then, I told the return counter lady that I would like to return a book. She said, 'there was a book drop outside', and was reluctant to process my book return. I said, 'your counter has a sign saying 'returns', why cannot I return here'? Then, she looks a bit angry and finally got my book returned, within 10 seconds.nnThe attitudes of library staff are really very very bad! Very disappointed!

I spend a lot of time in this library when I did my undergrad and post grad studies. It has many books which were not available in other libraries. I did join as a corporate member for a few years too.

Literally the best library in the country. It’s so well stocked and professionally staffed, even academics from other universities frequently visit to fulfil their scholarly needs.nnOften taken for granted are their online academic resources which serve very wide ranging fields from business to engineering to social sciences and the arts. Numerous data sources and articles are readily available.nnShould you require specific direction in terms of scholarly resources, their staff stand by to serve you within 24 hours.nnOpens from 8am to 10pm, and during the month before till the end of final examinations every semester, opens its 6th floor study area 24 hours.
