A quiet place to study or read. The collection here focuses on the arts, which includes music scores and also multimedia – old movies, plays, concerts. You can watch the dvds in the screening room. There is also a piano practice studio and a jamming studio. Both are not sound proofed though, so your practice sessions can be heard in the rest of the library.

Quiet place to chill and read, study. It also has a good collection of music/movies in CD/DVD/Blue Rays for loaning out. Popular movies may be harder to get, but it gives you an excuse to check out other lesser-known movies.

The library felt like a mega music studio. Indeed, there are people using their facilities for jamming, for practising, some are there to immerse in the music CDs. Spacious and relaxing, this is a place for some respite from the city's hustle and bustle. An addition bonus.... here's where you can get a great view of MBS without being in the sun.

Was using the multimedia station last week and was approached by a very rude male service staff who sternly warned me not to sit there, just because I was preparing my notes on my personal laptop and wasn't using the multimedia station at that particular moment. Totally uncalled for and made my experience very unpleasant.

Less known libraries in Singapore hidden in Level 3 of the Esplanade. Very minimal crowd on a Saturday, which was quite surprising. Has dedicated spaces for film and art content, books, and performance. Nice interior with warm lighting downlights and hanging ones. Seating options were good and of variety as well. Cushion sofas can be found at around the perimeter of the place, near the books. For charging laptops, use the wooden table seating in the middle with ports hidden underneath the carpet. Good Wi-Fi and helpful staff.
