Best place if you need to do any research or read up as there are millions of books with lots of information for you to digest. They have all kinds of books, DVD, computers and information. You may read and watch in the Library or loan from them and enjoy reading or watching in the comfort of your home.nnSometimes, I spend some quiet time at the National Library to do some reading. Fully air-conditioned and free access to the Internet. You may bring your own mineral water but no food or drinks like soda, carbonated drinks or coffee and tea.

Top quality. The staff are kind and helpful. Books on all subjects. The 11f and 8 f sections are world's best. As a researcher and an MA student I found the library was stupendously helpful and it is such a Priceless treasure for many people. I can't believe that any situation for academic research can be done without such a good quality library. BRAVO

Convenient place to read books, access facilities- resting areas are aplenty and the variety of books are huge, not limited to historical references or child fiction. Air conditioning is nice and cold, seats are comfy, and toilets are clean. There is a cafe nearby.

The National Library is awesome! I have gone there a few times with my daughter and if you plan it, it can be an entire day's event. Entrance is free and there is enough to see, peruse and read in detail. The cafe is a great place to hang out and take a refreshment break. The Kid's section has an enchanting 'My Tree House' structure that kids and adults can climb onto and read! The ambience is fabulous and unlike other national libraries that I have seen. Will go again, soon!

First world hardware, third world software. The architecture and interior fittings are impressive but completely let down by the attitudes of the human staff especially certain security guards. Perhaps they should find another job if they feel this one is beneath them.
