One the pioneer local department stores still operating physical store. Well reputable for its value for money products. This outlet may be one of the last few physical Metro stores around today :))

Bought pillows only to find out wifey also bought. Wanted to return them but was informed no refunds due to hygiene. If The entire packaging is unopened (safety stickers all intact), I wonder what hygiene issue are they referring to. Unfriendly unhelpful staff manning the contact number. No where does it say on their receipt that exchange or refund was not allowed.nnWith the increasing pressure on such brick and mortar department stores, you would expect their service to be better.nnCome on Metro, you can do better!

visited metro few days ago with my grandmother. The staff had explained answered all the questions that were being raised by my grandmother. I got to say that the service staffs here are are really patient and kind even with elderly customers.

Good to know that one of our national shopping icons is still in business. Some good sales, most of the other items are regular price.

Metro provides an example of why physical retail cannot compete today even on service standards.nnMy parents had made 2 Sulwhasoo purchases >S$720 last week. Metro made a mistake that led to an incorrect charge/rebate, which led to Metro undercharging my parents S$20 net. This mistake was by Metro's cashier (receipt stated Stephanie Lee).nnInstead of correcting the error internally, a Metro salesgirl called my parents and demanded that they physically go down to Metro to rectify Metro's mistake. She raised her voice and scolded my aged father when he did not understand her poor explanation of Metro's mistake. There was neither an apology nor the right tone throughout the phone call.nnWhy pay a premium to Metro for such disgraceful service standards?
