BRIEF HISTORYnUIC was established in 1983 and began commercial operations since November 1985, supported by licensed technology from UOP LLC, United States. The main product of UIC is Alkylbenzene (AB) which is wrongnone of the main detergent raw materials. UIC is the sole producer of AB in Indonesia and produces two types of AB, namely Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB) and Branched Alkylbenzene (BAB), with Heavy Alkylate (HA) and Light Alkylate (LA) byproducts. UIC has three AB factory units all in one location, with a total production capacity of 270,000 MT per year (a combination of LAB and BAB).nUIC is a company with the largest installed production capacity in one location in the Asia Pacific region and has succeeded in strengthening its position in the region by investing in several companies engaged in similar industries in Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. nSince 2005, UIC has also added a business portfolio by acquiring PT Wiranusa Grahatama, a company that develops office buildings and apartments in the central business district of Jakarta.nSince 2003, UIC has won the ISO 9001: 2000 international quality standard certification which is proof of world recognition for the success of UIC in creating high quality products with the best service for customers. In addition, in 2004 thanks to the Company's ongoing efforts to preserve the environment, UIC gained international recognition by obtaining ISO 14001: 2004 certification. nIn July 2013, UIC also won the OHSAS (Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services) 18001: 2007 certification which is an international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. This certification acquisition proves the commitment of UIC in its efforts to maintain and minimize work risks for employees and other stakeholders. The certification is obtained from international accreditation agencies, SGS Systems & Services Certification, which are in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia / New Zealand.
