Batu Meringgit temple located inside Kebun Raya Eka Karya in Bedugul, Bali. Precisely it is located in Desa Candikuning, Tabanan.nnIndonesian History records that the Batu Meringgit Temple built during the journey of Ida Rsi Madura around the 12th century AD (this probably around 1201 AD or 1123 Saka).nnThis temple made as place to worship the greatness of God Almighty in its manifestation as Sang Hyang Siwa. However there are some Buddhism ornament which built by Shri Jaya Kasunu who the heir of Jaya Pangus. This Jaya Pangus in history married with a woman from Tiongkok, and so this temple can be seen filled with Hindu and Buddha accents.nnThe architecture is unique, remind me of Temple Candi Mas (which located in Tabanan, too).nnThe weather is cold. Way to be here surrounded by beautiful scenery you are gonna love. All green. The atmosphere is so calming and the ambience is so peaceful.nnIf you want to go to this temple, my suggestion is do not coming in evening (if you want to pray).
