The staff was very kind.nHorseback riding by the beach was AMAZING!nMust try at least once in your life time!

My friend (a complete beginner) and I booked a 90 minute ride at Tarukan Equestrian centre through the tour booking company Balisuta.nDO NOT GO HERE!nThe horses they gave us were completely unsuitable. They were jumpy and unresponsive to their riders. This made us feel unsafe and we did not relax the whole ride. We cut the ride short to 1 hour and were glad when we arrived back at the stables.nnMy friend felt so afraid that she got off and walked as her horse had begun rearing. Both horses clearly wanted to gallop down the beach and began to get agitated when strongly reigned in by our guides.nnWe were taken to a busy beach where we dodged umbrellas, surfers and sunbathers. This also felt unsafe as the beach was narrow due to high tide.nOur guides spoke almost no English and did not give my beginner friend any instruction.nnWe had been told we would ride through rice paddies and small villages but instead were walked down a busy road then onto the busy beach.nnOverall, a hugely disappointing experience.nnPositively the horses did seem well cared for and saddles and bridles fitted the horses well.

Very very bad.nI haven't been pick up at the hostel because I booked for 1person.nThe ride was supposed to be 1hr, I rode about 40min.nThe price included 1hr ride + pick up at the hostel. They wanted to make me pay full price for something I didn't get. I had to argue a lot to have a ridiculous discount and they threatened me to call the police ( !!! ).nThe horse I rode was in an okay condition he obviously didn't really want to go (had to be hold to walk to the beach), I ride for 14years which I said before booking so being hold is a bit disappointing.nNot friendly and very bad.nI highly NOT recommend.

My family requested for a hour's ride 650,000 rupiah but only got 50 minutes. We were short-changed 10 minutes worth of horse riding and money. We were not satisfied and we argued to get some of our money left. We eventually got a partial refund. We recommend you not to come to Tarukan Equestrian Centre. Also they did not provide us with proper equipment and attire.
