Jakarta Old Town

Great place to spend the day walking around. The Architecture in this part of Jakarta is very different because it is extremely unique. We noticed that the central square to the post office was closed due to the pandemic, however there are other things to do there. Lots of good cafes and museums around there that are worth visiting like the museum of ceramics.

Interesting place to visit. Many artists wearing costume and performing. Many colonial buildings around and many museums to visit.

Nice to watch locals ride bikes and hang out here, but not all the museums in the area are well maintained.

I thought museums closed Monday...but on Tuesday 15 January they were closed - including maritime museum.nOtherwise.... it's a square, didn't excite me much. But good restaurant nearby...called Historia... serves beer and good local food.
