Tourist Information Center

Every time we walked by this tourist information center, it was closed OR no one was at the desk. The food cart man in front of the building was more helpful! He was asking all the bus and taxi drivers for advice and help for us to figure out how to get to the base of Mount Sibayak! Also, the center is mostly empty space- just a tiny desk and not much more. So I’m not so sure how helpful this place is.

Good overall experience with tourist information. Good advices from Erwin which turned out to be my guide for the sunrise hike to Sibayak. I paid 350000 as I was alone, but was told it would be 250000 if someone else joined. Luckily, another traveller booked and I got my refund. Do not hesitate to ask for Erwin, he's an amazing guide and really love what he does!

Relly disappointed vacation to medan.....n1. beware with the guy who working in the information center , His a cheater. This guy collect 100000 rupies per person to arrange share taxi to airport but at last he arrange public bus which cost only 20000 rupies...relly shameful to their country who work at tourism center. Should take action with that idiot guy....n2. All the drivers in medan is crazy f1driver drive like hell...not save to travel...n3. Can say all the residents take advantage on tourist. Each person give different advice which make us confused and dont know who have to trust...at last we hope information centre wont cheat but same....
