Kyai Jimat Cemetery

Kyai Jimat (the forerunner of the village of Depok) was a powerful servant and was a confidant of the 3rd generation King of Mataram namely Kanjeng Sultan Agung Prabu Hanyokrokusumo. Kyai Amulet was once asked by Kanjeng Sultan Agung to accompany the trip when he visited Kraton Ratu Selatan Selatan on foot from the Kraton of Mataram in Bantul DIY. Because of his age, approaching the southern sea, Kyai Jimat was no longer strong enough to continue his journey to accompany Kanjeng Sultan Agung. Then Kyai Amulet sat down (Java: ndeprok) until he died. Then by Kanjeng Sultan Agung the place was given the name Ndeprok. Furthermore, by the people Depok is more commonly spoken. Until now the area is famous as Depok Beach, which is about 1.5 km west of Parangkusumo Beach, Bantul, DI Yogyakarta. Previously I had never heard of the story of the existence of Kyai Amulet let alone his existence. Until one time right in the month of Sura (September 2016) I accidentally interacted directly with someone (ancestors) who had never met before, he introduced himself as a Kyai Amulet, then began to talk about who he was in the past. Thus according to what was delivered directly by him Kyai Amulet, the Tomb of Kyai Amulet was in the care and authority of the Yogyakarta Mataram Palace.nThis place is very powerful.
