Appointment at 10am, came at 9.30am without notice. Texted the hotline what the problem is and the boss told us it’s $80 when every other plumbers say $50/$80 and above depending on situation. So this plumber told me $80, I asked if the charges is flat rate $80, he said yes. Hence with that, I’ve decided to go ahead with this plumber since there’s no hidden or additional costs. After the worker access the situation, he want to charge us $70 more, total of $150. I was not around so my father talk to the worker and decided on $130. When he asked for receipts, the worker say they don’t issue.nnSo my dad told me about it and ask me to check if that’s the price that they are suppose to charge us. I called the boss and he say because they use some equipment so must charge us more. He say he didn’t say that it is $80 flat when I have message to prove it. And we wouldn’t have asked the worker to leave after knowing the price without completing the job because we will still be charged for transportation fee. All in all, I’d say that they are unethical business. If his reason is that “because we need to access the situation to know the final price” then please don’t promise customers that you charge a flat rate of $80 for your services.nnFYI, their website says $40 onwards.
