Called them twice because the neighbours upstairs were stomping around and making such a lot of noise past midnight on both occasions.nFirst was in December of 2019, I made the call around 12.20am and around 1am, a ground of 6 or 7 officers came to my doorstep instead telling me they went to the unit upstairs but they didn’t hear any noise from the outside. They stood outside my apartment, some enjoying the breeze and basically asking me if I tried resolving the issue myself. Seeing it was already 1am, I had to leave for the airport by 3am and these bunch weren’t about to get anything done, I thanked them for even coming and tried to get some rest.nThe second time I called was on Christmas of 2020 when the same neighbours upstairs sounded like they had a party of some sort and we could hear the stomping and furniture being moved around. An enthusiastic sounding officer answered and took my details and hurriedly told me he’ll communicate this to his resources........and hung up.nSurprise, surprise, but I never heard back from them so I can’t tell if they did anything eventually.nNever came across such incompetence, but please, don’t take that as a challenge!

So keen to hang up rather than listening and investigating issue! 40 minutes of public works and 2 phone calls, 20 minutes apart at 2am in the morning. Disturbing the peace is allowed in residential areas in Singapore in the middle of the night! Do they need things to get out of hand before they act?
