After a 2 hour walk from the Strip to this sign, one must ask. Was it worth it? The answer depends! I was over the walk there but my friends really did enjoy it. It's a tourist attraction and a must see! I'm glad I did tag along. There was line to take a picture but it moved fast. I do recommend you pile on your sunscreen!

No visit is complete without a photo opportunity to this famous tourist attraction! Best time of the day to visit is during the dark; the sign lights up brilliantly in photographs. There's usually a photographer who will offer to take pictures for donations and he told our group that it's illegal to charge for pictures at all. He was fun and had us all doing great group poses. This place can get windy and is between 2 busy streets. You have to park and walk a bit before reaching the sign, so bring a jacket. It was chilly when we went, but we had fun!

Historical Landmark and a MUST SEE!!! Word of caution, though...watch out for individuals POSING as official photographers and charging for pictures. These people (dressed as if they are professionals) put on a good show by asking people to pose in all different manners, but in actuality, they are exploiting the trusting nature of tourists to take their money. They are the same as thieves, in my opinion, because they are misrepresenting who they are and what they are really up to. I'm sure that someone, in front of or behind you, in line would be glad to take your pics on your phone if you offer to do the same for them for free!!! Here are the pics the father of a nice family took of us after I took some of him and his family.

Long line of course but people stayed patient and distanced appropriately. A bit interesting to get to from the airport but if you have a car (I’m a local), it’s a great intro to Vegas before you reach your hotel. Billboards on the side are a bit tacky in a photo op but the sign itself creates a bit of vibrancy with its colors.
