too expensive, broken boards, unfriendly staff and owner, and really high repair costs! Bring your own board or rent somewhere else !

My wife and I stayed for nearly two weeks in Krui. Since the village is quite small, you‘ll def. meet the owner Albert in his cozy shop in the corner. We wanted to check out board rental options and planned to visit once. In the end we nearly came everyday:)nIn case you have any questions on what to do in Krui and area-Albert is your man. Besides a variety of boards (also bodyboard) he serves a delicous coffee (not instant) and will have a chat with you till dawn. Shop is well maintained and prices reasonable. Check out the boardshorts and help him support local kids with his own T-shirts and hats (although hats look horrible;))nKeep up your work Albert, and we are looking forward to seeing you again.nBest, Lisa & Ilias

They have a decent choice of different boards for which they want 100.000 IDR per 12 hours. Even though it felt like they make the real money by making you pay for every little scratch on the board. They will tell you that before you rent a board, but keep in mind that they dictate the price unnegotiably. Besides that there are no real opening hours and they won't give you the boards overnight. So if you feel like going for a prebreakfast surf, you depend on someone being in the shop. It happened to me a few times, that noone was there, even though the night before they told me otherwise. When i calmly tried to demand a reasonable price for a scratch i got on the reef, the owner got really unfriendly, hostile and even insulting.
