Quiet clean and friendly.nI came to W&W with my teenage son as we had been recommended the selection of empty uncrowded surf spots.nAn English speaking driver from the resort was waiting for us at public ferry port at Poto Tano for the 45 drive to the resort. We were impressed by how empty yet clean and organised the small local farms and villages were. Everyone we passed smiled and waved. Arriving at the resort we were immediately impressed by large and tidy bungalows within a perfectly landscaped coconut grove right on the beach with green mountains and islands breaking up the multi colored sunset. The manager Yuni and owner Denis met and greeted us attentively and answered all our questions patiently in perfect English.nThey gave us a cold drink and we started a tab. They showed us to our standard twin room. We then had a swim and a beer and returned to the massive 11m high communal bamboo lounge and dining area with plenty of cool breeze space, tables and chairs and bean bags, with hammocks between the trees. There was also a large open covered yoga area, exercise bars and beach volleyball court, their was also a speedboat that can be hired for deep water activities. All were perfectly maintained within the grounds overlooking the beach and surrounded by green mountains.nWe were shown our scooter with surf racks and given a full surf report for the morning. They then organised a guide to follow to a secret spot 10 minutes south, where we found a perfect righthander. The only other mammals here were a dog and some cows and a lone fisherman in his boat. Paddling out we were greeted by a dolphin and a turtle.nOur room had comfortable firm beds, soft pillows, clean sheets and monogrammed towels and reasonable Wi-Fi. The bathroom was huge with a strong warm shower and some toiletries provided.nThe a/c worked well enough.nJust outside was a second open cabana area with tables and chairs with better Wi-Fi.nThe main restaurant lounge had excellent Wi-Fi at all times.nThere were occasional power cuts but the standby generator kicked-in immediately so the drinks always remained cold.nThe menu was limited but servings large, fresh and tasty. They also had a Espresso machine for a decent cappuccino.nThe owner surfed with us and introduced us to the few other guests.nThey arranged the best massage I have had in Indonesia for many years.nUnfortunately the wind and tides worked against getting the best surf spots but the secret spot worked well each of our four mornings.nScooters were well serviced.nThe local town is interesting for its seaweed farming and the locals all smiled at us. There is no ATM, the nearest is 30 minutes away but there were some shops with snacks, softdrinks, fly spray and cigarettes but no one spoke English.nThe sunsets were incredible every evening. Most of the mosquitos were found in our bathroom but closing the door and a spray at night sorted that.nThere is only two other home stays in the town, but we couldn't find them to check out and the seaweed smell was intense.nThe friendly attentive staff and immaculate grounds, very close to a range of quality surf spots made this place well worth the visit.nHighly recommended for romantic couples or a group of surfers, yogis or watersporters.
