One of breathtaking views of sunset in Sumba.

Its not a great swimming beach with the reef so close to the sand. High tide is ok but still not ideal. At low tide many locals will be collecting crabs and seaweed. The landscape behind the beach and along the coast a few hundred meters to the east is pleasant but not spectacular, nice grassy spots for a late afternoon sunset picknic if you are staying in the area or even Waitabula or Tambolaka. This part of the coast just doesn't have the same feel and stunning landscape or beaches that West Sumba's coast line does. Its still a great place to see and work your way down the coast from though. A new road is being built around the island which will pass this beach. Its easy to get to but the road is still fairly bumpy.
