At least there are more than 60 prehistoric site at Pagaralam Regency. Among another prehistoric site, the Tegur Wangi site is the largest one. This place is well maintained, the site is covered by fence and permanent roof. Too bad some of this prehistoric relic were became victim of vandalism. It's located near the main road, easy to access, no guide is available at the site, there's only information board describe about the site's history.

Pasemah Plateau is a highland landscape of Bukit Barisan, mountainous region of Sumatra Island, consist of Lahat Regency and Pagaralam Municipality, where many remains of the artifacts from megalithic tradition of prehistoric Indonesia were discovered, so it is hailed as centre of Sumatran megalithic. One of the remain site is Tegur Wangi. Strategically located on the roadside between Pagar Alam - Tanjung Sakti, this archaeological site is located within the area of the farm fields, but is well preserved by the government. There are 4 statues interpreted by the researcher as humans riding elephants, as the center of attention. Besides that, there were also stone chambers, and several large stones. The researcher interpreted the relics in Tegur Wangi as a symbol of ancestors worshipping, symbolizing the incredible forces of nature, the tangible governing the form of land, mountains, rivers (which are usually located near the site), and provide soil fertility that supports the lives of the people of that era. The relics of statues in Pasemah Plateau are said to be unique, and are different from other megalithic relics in the world, because the statues at Pasemah are always different in form and proportion. Tegur Wangi site might be more interesting if the government provides a more detailed explanation board about the researchers' analysis of the remain in it, so that visitors can enjoy the historic story behind the stones.
