It has long been our intention to make a pilgrimage to this historical old mosque. This Indatu heritage building shows the height of the devotion to religion and the nation by Indatu in the past. Mosque buildings in the past were made using wood, an abundant resource at that time. Because wood is easily decomposed by age, especially in a humid environment like Aceh, many mosque buildings in the past did not last long. And over time, the construction of new buildings was carried out using concrete and reinforced iron pillars, which were wider and more durable. In the Teungku Chik Kuta Karang Mosque Complex, the new mosque building that uses concrete is built next to the old mosque building and the old mosque building with wooden construction (and semibeton for the floor and wall perimeter above the outside foundation) is still preserved. The old mosque building can still be used for individual prayer services, while the new mosque building is used for congregational worship.nnIn addition to the old mosque building, there is an ablution pool that has survived its shape, but is no longer functional as a place for ablution. This ablution pool is so that it can be preserved and if possible it can be returned to its original function, so that future generations can continue to appreciate Indatu's achievements in construction technology in the past.

This place is the legacy of one of the Great Ulema of Aceh and Southeast Asia, He is the Ulama of Astronomers in Southeast Asia, namely Al Mukaram Syech Ibnu Abbas (Tgk Syiek Kuta Karang). Embedding Kuta Karang in its popular nickname because Kuta Karang is its place of origin. In the land of his birth he also founded this mosque which later became the mosque for the community in the ule susu settlement which consisted of 7 villages (Deunong, Leugeu, Lampeuneueun, Kuta Karang, Lamsidaya, Payaroh, Lamtheun). Kuta Karang is right in the middle of the 7 villages, coincidentally or indeed so wise the people in ancient times in determining the location of the place for the benefit of the people.
