Bakti Laundry

I’ve used this laundry at least 4 times during the last 6 days. Everything comes back super clean, no faded colors.nnWhen I unpack it feels like they’ve even ironed my shirts, which I’m sure they haven’t.nnBig washing machine and dryers.nEspecially during the rainy season it’s very pleasant to have clean and really dry clean laundry.nnA lot of the small places don’t have the best dryers.nThis place is really good.nnI had a fairly big bag for 60K.nIt may be a tad more expensive, but let’s face it: it’s still inexpensive and -I can’t say it enough- dry during rainy season is a blessing..nnCan highly recommend.

I have been staying in Ubud for 4 weeks for a yoga teacher training course. I have come to Bakti laundry a LOT because I am constantly sweating and needing to have my yoga clothes washed. I am not sure why the reviews are so bad here - they are quite old reviews though and I have not noticed any of the things people here have complained about so maybe they took notice and made some changes! The staff is incredibly friendly, and now recognize me and wave hello when I walk by. They charge 15k per kilo of laundry ($1.06) and charge an extra 15k to have same day rush service. Otherwise if you drop off in the morning they will be complete around 7pm sameday or 9am next day. All of my clothes have always made it back to me, smelling fresh and it seems like they press/iron the clothing. Nothing has been ruined, however as a general rule I do not bring delicate or white clothing to laundry services (I wash those on my own). Highly recommended cheap, easy, quick, reliable laundry service!

Let me start by saying I have never written a Google review before, but this place was so awful that I thought I'd try to save someone else from having the same experience I had. I tried this place out twice because it was close to where I was staying. When you walk in, you go up to the counter and someone weighs your laundry (if you're a tourist at least, because the prices are higher by weight rather than charging by the item). I didn't mind paying the higher price because I needed my laundry done. They told me to come pick it up in 24 hours.nWhen I got it back, at first I was impressed because not only do they wash and dry it, but they iron it and then fold it and package it into a bag for you. I walked home happily and started to unpack my fresh laundry when I realized that not only were they not clean --- THERE WERE NEW STAINS on my clothes that had not been there before. A lot of my clothes here are white because of the heat and these new brown stains were not appealing. Even though I didn't pay much, I felt I had wasted my money.nnStill, for some reason, I thought I'd give them a second shot. Maybe it'd just been a bad wash or they washed my clothes with something really muddy/dirty. I went back, was greeted unhappily by an older woman, and dropped off my clothes. I came back 24 hours later to pick up my laundry, paid an even higher price, and brought the package home. This experience was even worse. Yes, they were ironed and folded, but this time my clothes had HIGHLIGHTER colored stains all over them and SMELLED HORRIBLE like someone had wiped their bum with all my clothes. And these stains won't come out. They are highlighter colored, bright yellow and pink on several articles of clothing. I still tried to wear some of the articles that remained unstained, but they smell so horrible that I can't bear it. I can't believe I paid a high price to have my clothes ruined. I feel so foolish for giving them a second try.nnPlease, if you have light colored clothing you need washed and stains that you need removed, consider elsewhere. There are many laundry shops in Ubud that will do a better job for a better price and not ruin your clothing. Seriously, I'd have been better off with my dirty clothes than stained, ruined ones. So unhappy with this service.

Brought my clothes this morning and just came to pick them up. Turned out that my white shorts became yellow. They didn't react on my complaints. Accused me that I put perfume on itud83dude02 Wouldn't recommend.

Inexpensive and fast, although bright coloured clothing may have faded a bit. Everything else.
