Tugu Talawi is located on Jl Muhammad Yamin, Talawi Hilir, Talawi, Sawahlunto. Aside from being a confirmation of the identity of the city of Sawahluto, Tugu Talawi is also the boundary between the villages of Lower Talawi and Mudik Talawi (Downstream in Indonesian means meaning down and going home has the upper meaning).nbased on a very deep philosophy. That is a monument that is able to symbolize the joints of religious life, customs, and the lives of the Sawahlunto people in particular and the Minangkabau in general. Talawi Monument as one of the tourist objects in Sawahlunto implies the meaning of Tungku Tigo Sajarangan through a round pillar foundation, like a stove in Minangkabau. This saying has a very deep meaning, namely solid unity between, alim ulama, community leaders and clever talents (knowledgeable people). This illustrates that Minangkabau adat is not a custom based on ancestral customs alone, but that adat is compiled by basing it on the rules of Islam, as well as the opinions of intelligent people who signal to us that the Minagkabau Custom is flexible.
