Rae Mea means red soil or red land. The locals called the beach Rae Mea because of the red cliff protecting the white sandy beach.nnRae Mea is one of the best beaches in Savu Islands.

Good beach (shallow, not for swimming) and coloured cliffs. Reachable by motorbike, but no indications on the way (2hours+ from Seba, partly asphalted and potholed roads)nYou can explore the site from the sea salt collecting village, onto the cliff, and also from the beach.
