Rufas Island

Probably the most beautiful place I have walked in my life.

Rufas is a small, solitary and splendid island, a green spot in the immense blue of the Raja Ampat archipelago. This rock formation is located near the renowned Piaynemo. In Rufas, nature indulged itself by working on the rock to create an internal lagoon with an incredible emerald green water. The lagoon is connected to the sea thanks to a small passage between the rock. Inside the lagoon a homestay with some bungalows on stilts almost complete the scenario offered to the visitor. Access is from a small wooden pier that overlooks the external sea to which visitors' boats dock in transit towards Piaynemo or groups of divers for a relaxing break. Through a slightly bumpy path, you can climb and reach a panoramic terrace where you can better admire the beauty of the lagoon.
