Thanks to Noldy and Lydia for the fabulous 4 days in their place. We felt home far way from it... The nature on land and under water was amazing! Food was very good and guests were very nice.

This homestay was the best one I have been in Raja Ampat (6 in total), true to its name!n- clean tiled bathrooms. two rooms even have a private bathroom. shower.n- nice rooms with beds and hammockn- very good food, leagues above the usual standard in Raja Ampat. Proper breakfast, lunch and of course dinner. More food than you can eat and always very tasty.n- very friendly family, English speakingn- pricing is fairn- very tranquil, remote setting, great to relax for a few days. Mobile internet is only available if you take the hotspot of Noldi the owner a few minutes up the hillnnThere is access to the best snorkelling I have found in Raja Ampat (in terms of fish not coral) in front of the nearby Sawandarek village. Loads of turtles, blacktips, fish schools including barracudas. I even saw mantas once. To get to Sawandarek, you can swim ~1km (only with fins and good swimmer, there is some current at the edge of Sawandarek bay), 20min walk through the jungle or of course Noldi can drop you off by boat.nnThe snorkelling in front of the homestay is so-so for Raja Ampat standard, and difficult to get in&out at low tide. This may be the only downside to this homestay.nnI hope to come back here and that it gets developed slowly and not become another Kri..

Beware, some of these reviews are fake. Noldy is the owner, and left himself a 5 star review below. I had a horrible experience at this homestay and left after 1 night. A French couple also left after 1 night.nnLong story short: Noldy is an inexperienced diver. He took me out on his house reef (which he should know extremely well). Noldy didn’t give me the right equipment, because he only borrows gear from his friend (not a real dive center). He gave me short snorkeling fins and no reef hook, no pre-dive briefing. The dive had some of the strongest current out of 30 dives I did in Raja Ampat. Noldy was barehanded, grabbing onto the coral so he wouldn’t get swept away. Luckily the other guest had an extra reef hook for me to use mid-dive. Icing on the cake, when Noldy released the SMB “diver below” float, the string reel slipped out of his hand. I got the sense Noldy doesn’t have much dive experience. Very dangerous dive.nnI don’t recommend. Many other problems with my stay that I didn’t mention.

Superb place, Noldy our host with a welcoming woman who offers a bed and a cover for a small fee. The place is just ideal for diving and snorkeling. To preserve absolutely !!
