Heart wrenching, but beautifully poignant Holocaust memorial

Fascinating place, with a really thought provoking exhibit regarding the holocaust. The cemetery was also beautiful. Well worth the visit - men be advised you will be required to wear a jewish cap in the synagogue and cemetery.

Pretty much a mandatory visit.nI did not know what would lie ahead in the synagogue and I was unexpectedly moved to tears by what my eyes fell upon inside.nA very important memorial to the atrocities of the second World War that hopefully shall never be allowed to happen again.

A powerful memorial to the victims of holocaust. Their names were all carved in the stones on the walls. Unforgettable.

Adjacent to the famous Jewish Cemetery of Prague and part of the multi location Jewish quarter tour ticket package. I was familiar with the history of the cemetery (Rabbi Loewe (?) and his golem), but I didn't realize the extensive and careful effort of transcribing holocaust victims names to the walls. I was reading the names for well over an hour and could have stayed much longer. Consider giving yourself extra time, I wish I had.
