Although poorly maintained, and can be improved in many areas, it is still recommended for those who like to know about the history of this province. This is not a place that the hotels or guides would recommend, but I do feel I learnt something specific - after the visit.

Actually this is great place to see and learn around Minahasan history and culture. But the other side, its building seems too old. It is need improvement and concern from the government. Special thanks for the officer who explain around museum. Well done.

Rather complete colection. If you are lucky enough, you could hear the employees played the Kolintang at some time between 12pm-2pm. The museum was not so crowded, in fact nobody's visiting when I visited the place. But overall, the museum was clean and taken care of. Some features in the toilet didn't work, so I won't recommend you to use the toilet here although it was basically functioning. The collections were not just inside the building but also outside in the park where you could see statues and megalithic age stones hampered in the grass. It's also a very unfortunate thing that the audiovisual room can't be used. The room was locked and I don't really know the reason behind the closing. Visiting the museum is free of charge. The best time to visit is at noon.

Visitors can get to know more about the culture of the Minahasa tribe, the indigenous tribes in the province of North Sulawesi, and also the interesting histories of North Sulawesi and other regions of Sulawesi. This place in the city of Manado has almost 3000 collections.
