Very poorly managed! Don't bother coming here. The lights were not on, the displays were below average and old. It certainly is not a representation of an industry that has been powering Indonesia economy for generations. It looked okay from the outside but the inside was very disaplpointing. Please consider closing it temporarily for renovation.

The museum, which was opened in 1989 by President Soeharto, was built to mark the 100th anniversary of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia. The museum's architecture is sophisticated, with an offshore platform shaped building that stands on an 11,000 m2 artificial lake.nThere are exhibition rooms that tell the history of the oil building, the theater that plays various short films, oil drilling equipment and historical demonstrations, to the library and auditorium that can be rented by the public.

Graha Widya Patra was inaugurated in 1989. It is a museum that provides information to the public about all matters relating to the search, exploration, processing and utilization of petroleum.nnThe museum is in the form of an offshore oil exploration platform complete with its platform and boat.
