The Muhammadiyah Organization was founded by K.H. Ahmad Dahlan in the Kauman Village of Yogyakarta on November 18, 1912 (8 Dzulhijjah 1330 H). [1]nnThe Muhammadiyah Association was established to support KH Ahmad Dahlan's efforts to purify Islamic teachings which, according to his opinion, were influenced by mystical matters. This activity initially also had a da'wah base for women and young people in the form of reciting the Sidratul Muntaha. In addition, the role in education was manifested in the establishment of elementary schools and secondary schools, known as the Moehammadijah Hogere School and subsequently changed its name to the Kweek School Moehammadijah (now known as the Madrasah Mu'allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta specifically for men, located at Jalan S Parman no. 68 Patangpuluhan sub-districts of Wirobrajan and Madrasah Mu'allimat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta specifically for women, in Suronatan Yogyakarta, both of which are now Muhammadiyah Cadre Schools located in Yogyakarta and supervised directly by the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership
