Very tasty bak kut teh, however bill for two was about 100k IDR- a little bit more than expected. Still, would recommend to visit.

This Bak Kut Teh (BKT) place is recommended by a local hairdresser. This restaurant has no signboard but is commonly known as Channel U as they were featured in a Singapore Channel U TV programme some years ago. You can see a large Channel U poster of the advertisement in this restaurant (next door to another BKT shop called Siang Hwa)and opposite Holiday Karimun Hotel.The lady staff (probably a family member) is Super friendly and service oriented. We ordered both the soup and dry version of the BKT which had pig organs in addition to the regular pork ribs. Both versions were delicious although the dry version was a tad more tastier. Total cost of the 2 BKT, 1 fried flitters (you tiao), 1 rice and 1 drink cost 108,000 rupiah which is totally reasonable. A couple of competing BKT nearby but this place was recommended for its less use of MSG. Totally recommended to try.
