I visited this place in September 2017. I think the most valuable places in Makassar is this museum.nYou can see the beach view while enjoying the history of the museum and people.nnI hope I can visit this place again one day.

Fort Rotterdam of Makassar....it was a fort when the Dutch occupied Indonesia. But now, It is a museum.nLucky me, the fort was sited very close to the hotel where I was staying in. I put this in my first list of interesting places to visit in my first weekend in Makassar.nStarted at 09.30 am from the hotel, walked under a very bright sunshine along the path which took me to the fort.nReported my attendance to the guest greeter, he welcomed me and invited me exploring the museum.nI admired all of those ancient buildings there and the collections inside which are exciting.nOnly certain buildings are opened for public. Unfortunately, there was no more image as a military defense fort I could find in the site.nA heritage from the colonial era that should be maintained and developed for the benefit of now generation.

Only 10,000 entrance to museum. Good english translations but very poor lighting. Couldn't find anyone to sell the souvenirs. Interesting piece of history. You can give a donation at the gate if you like. Guides available...not sure if you need one.

For those of you who like to travel, nature tourism might be one of your favorite destinations when you are on vacation. One goal is that we can enjoy the beauty of nature that is still beautiful and fresh, which we rarely feel when we live in big cities. In addition, beautiful natural scenery becomes an interesting spot for us to take selfies and take pictures, then proudly post on social media like Instagram with wise captions. Not infrequently also among us make a vlog as a memento if we had been to a place as beautiful as this.
