Museum Kota Makassar

A historical museum in Makassar which has an old classic Colonial interior theme. It reserved some historical things about Makassar city from the past time, untill the present. I think it's better for the management of this museum to add the collections and the detail information about that, so people would come here often

First, it is free! The collection is rather small but displayed neatly. Clean room with air conditioner. It is used to be a City Hall, built from the colonial era, so the vibe is strong. The guide or receptionist is very welcoming, even he showed us the third floor of this building, a courtroom and city award room. One of the best way to understand Makassar is to have a walk in this museum, truly lives up its name, Museum Kota Makassar.

Small museum about the history of Makassar which is housed the former town hall. The building alone makes it worth a visit. Staff are also very friendly and helpful.nnNot that hours on Google maps are wrong. See photos for correct opening hours.
