worst experience in all of Indonesia. Make sure to sort things out before you come to the port. Tickets to the Gili´s by public ferry are 150.000 don´t get fooled.

Worst experience so far on our trip in Indonesia. Extremely dirty place with a lot of unhonest people.nWe arrived from Gili T with the public slow boat for 15.000 IDR in the morning. By getting off the boat we were sourounded by locals offering cheap transportation. They wanted 150.000 IRD to get us to the elephant park without taxometer. We refused and walked down the road away from the habour. After 500 m we found a place with a lot of blue bird taxis which have taxometer. They took us to the park for 33.000 IDR. The taxi driver told us about the rivals between the blue birds and the locals, so the blue bird taxis are not allowed to pick up people at the habour.nWhen we returned at the habour from our visit in the park (1 pm) we wanted to buy a ticket back to Gili T. Unfortunately we ran into the arms of one of the bad guys there. He offered us only the fast boat for 125.000 IDR per person. When we asked for the public slow boat he said we are the first passengers for the next boat and it might take 2 hours to fill it up so it would leave.nWe bought the tickets anyway but for more than they actually cost. He wanted 25.000 IDR per person reasoning that with the admission fee for the habour in Gili T. After writing us a fake ticket he ran to the official ticket office (which we haven't seen before) and bought the tickets for us. Admission fee was 2.500 IDR in the end. After guiding us the way to the waiting area, we waited there for 5 minutes until we were called for the boat (10 minutes before the previous boat left, so defenitly no waiting time of 2 hours and we were not the first passengers for this boat. All lies)nSo be careful there and make sure you have all information you need.
