One of the archaeological remains in the early days of Islam which is commonly found in South Sulawesi is the tomb of the kings, religious leaders and dukes (regional rulers) which in general is a burial complex in which there are family or relatives, relatives or authorities the kingdom and the closest servants. Investigation of the tomb and its parts, in fact we no longer need to interpret the functionr(functional interpretation), because it is clear about the function of the tomb since pre-history until now. But the relevant problem of gravestone tombs as one objectnarcheology is about the form, workmanship, material, and distribution of forms in various regions, both on the coast and inland.

This tomb complex is under the protection of the government as an object of cultural heritage that must be maintained because in this tomb complex there is the tomb of the mother of King Gowa Sultan Hasanuddin I SABBE LO'MO DG. TAKONTU which conditions are barely maintained.
