The Ministry of Public Works formed the Office for the Implementation of Construction Services (BP2JK) in 34 Provinces in Indonesia replacing the Procurement Service Unit (ULP).nnWith work units, independent human resources and better business processes, PBJ processes and results are expected to be more effective, efficient, transparent, quality and accountable.nnThe establishment of the BP2JK is a step for the Ministry of PUPR to implement 9 strategies to prevent irregularities in the procurement of goods and services, namelyn1) reorganization of the ULP organizational structure and PBJ Working Group;n2) strengthen human resources;n3) improve the mechanism for the preparation of the Self Estimated Prices (HPS);n4) fostering the provision of services both contractors and consultants;n5) inspection of work results involving the Development Finance Supervisory Agency (BPKP); 6) reduce risk in organizational units (Unor), halls and work units;n7) establishment of an internal compliance unit;n8) establishment of an inspectorate in the field of investigating and strengthening auditor capacity; andn9) countinuous monitoring of fraud prevention tools with information technology.
