Liang Bua Cave also known as the Hobbit Cave is located in Liang Bua, North Rahong, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. A very large cave and in some parts there are still beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. The uniqueness of this cave is the often found fossils of ancient human and animal fossils that are in the surface of this cave. Make sure you hire the services of a guide who can explain the origin and history of this amazing cave.

Small but interesting museum about the findings and excavation of Laing Bua. All displays are now in English and Indonesian. If your not into this sort of thing then it might not be worth the trip for you. Before you come watch “cannibals in jungle” on YouTube. It’s an interesting programme from Animal Planet ud83dude09

20.000 entrance fee, very small museum and the info (athough quite interesting) is translated in English on laminated paper (in comic sans). The rest is in Indonesian... The cave nearby is also pretty boring, there's nothing to see really. Kind of disappointed...

A small museum but with a friendly receptionist. The road going to this place is still under renovation. On the other hand, that bumpy road adds excitement and fun.
