Comforta Hotel & Resort Tanjung Pinang

Small hotel, small parking space, but hotel quite comfy, the location superb, in the center of the city, easy to explore tanjungpinang city...

Although there were some standouts, most of the staff seem to lack an overall good spirit. There seemed to be no supervisor/manager there to take the lead and set good standards. My room near the pool was hot. AC not cold so I changed rooms after the first night. There's a large gap under the front and back doors of the rooms letting hot air in. The fridge wasn't cold. Ony last day at breakfast i noticed that someone was served omelettes. No egg station in the breakfast area so the staff should really be offering eggs to the guests but instead they were very passive in behaviour. Breakfast food offered in the bain maries was not kept hot by burners underneath, so every dish was cold, and it was self serve & not served by staff(no covid controls in place) Empty glasses were left by the pool for half a day on the walkway by the pool. Beds had only 2 sub standard pillows. Should be 3 or 4 in my opinion. Outside lights shine into the rooms through the window above the front door affecting quality of sleep.nnHotel swimming pool was absolutely full of people (non guests) every afternoon and no covid controls in place to manage/limit numbers of people in the pool.nnI asked reception staff where i could get a rapid test done for travelling. They just said they didn't know and didn't offer to try to find out for me. I then explained the obvious, that i was a foreign guest and needed their help to find a nearby covid testing service. They called my room to tell me it was available at the airport. I thought I should just double check, so when I phoned the airport they said covid rapid testing has been closed down since 10th July. If i had accepted the hotel staff's advice I would have missed my flight. Seems the staff didn't actually check directly with the airport about this service being available.nnPrior staying at the Comforta, I spent 4 days at the Aston Hotel 200 metres away from the comforta. The Aston was near perfect in every aspect compared to the Comforta, and at LOWER PRICES !nnI will not be staying at the Comforta ever again if it cannot improve its standards all round. It's a 2 star hotel with fresh paint at 4 star prices.

We stayed for 1 night. With best rate at 400.000 more. Free breakfast, swimming used voucher. Acces to the room very nice. Clean. Friendly, cozy.

it's good, the environtment seems so friendly and calming and also relaxing. and the food is on above average and the room was good too.

The hotel provides you with warm welcome, positive vibes and good service. It is also located so near to a masjid.
