The Holy Tree Kitchen, Coffee & Surfshop

The BEST food in Medewi and probably in Bali, they provide a great menu with juices, salads, smoothie bowls, local food and great coffee, I insist this is one of my favorite restaurants in Bali (yes, not only Medewi). Dika and his team are legends!! they also rent boards and he owns an accommodation right there with beach view.

What a lovely place.. The Holy Tree is one of my favorites spots of Bali. It was difficult to leave.nFrom the first moment my friends and me got welcomed with a big smile, good service and such an amazing food and drinks. Every different dish, every different juice/smoothie I had was amazing, fresh and so tasty. The staff/family is so sweet, helpful and gave me a lot of tips what to do.nAnd then.. the location.. right on the beach, a beautiful beach with such a nice ocean and perfect for the surfers.nI had two surf lessons from Joel and Riki and what a good instructors, I write this review because this is a place I won't forget and will always be in my mind.nA place I will definitely come back too.nKeep the good work up guys, you make people feel special. What a find this was! I literally are here every day of my stay in Medewi and was impressed with both the service and food everytime. This sounds very corny, but you can literally taste the love and extra effort that goes into the preparation of each dish. The owner has spent time living in Australia and created a menu with a wide range of western and local options. Think Canggu hipster cafe with relaxed beach vibe and half the price.nnI also love their ethos of supporting local farmers and sourcing organic produce. Keep up the good work team holy tree kitchen :)

Smoothie bowls are all smoothie and no crunch, taste is ok though. Coffee is good. Burger was kind of average. Good range of smoothies but run out of fruit too many times. Also, sometimes it can take an hour to get served when busy. I guess most people in Medewi are not in a rush though but I saw so.e guests get really annoyed. I think it's a nice place but much room for improvement.
