I am proud to be a STKIP student because of the presence of this campus so that I can learn many things that I do not know can become known from this place so I am happy and if I graduate from this campus I want to be a teacher who will be welcomed where I will teach next time.

Wamena Christian FoundationnBackground EstablishmentnnInitially, the motivation for the foundation was based on the awareness of the importance of education that supports the improvement of the people's economy. In 1995, the Oikonomos Foundation of the Netherlands in cooperation with the Oikonomos Papua Foundation (YOP) developed the economic field to improve the living standards of Jayawijaya regency community that started in Pass Valley village. However, over time, Oikonomos Foundation renewed the strategy of improving the living standards of this community because of the low human resources both observations of employees and the beneficiaries of this economic program is the surrounding community. So in 2005, the Oikonomos Foundation in collaboration with the churches in Wamena established an educational foundation called the Wamena Christian Foundation (YKW). YKW realizes that the support of churches in Jayawijaya is very important because they are the voice of the people.nnOrganizational IdentitynWamena Christian Foundation is a Christian humanitarian organization (non-profit) that is engaged in education.nnThe Vision of the OrganizationnDeparting from the identity of the organization, YKW has a vision as stated in the symbol / logo of the foundation of Proverbs 1: 7 which contains: Fear of God is the beginning of knowledge, but the fools insult wisdom and upbringing.nnMission OrganizationnYKW establishes organizational mission which is determined based on the main problem of education in Jayawijaya which is still very low, that is teacher professionalism and low competence, bad character and mental, mindset and education management system that still weak, educational situation and economic condition which less support . Thus the mission of the organization is to strive to increase the commitment and effective teaching methods for professionalism and work discipline to the faculty and the students.nnGeneral Purpose of the OrganizationnA common goal is the strengthening of quality education in Jayawijaya, Papua. This general objective can be divided into sub-goals and also with expected results, namely:nCapability and capacity of teachers: Teachers can be examples through the development of ability in factors: theoretical, pedagogical and didactic knowledge, discipline and motivation, strong ethics and clear vision.nParental involvement: the division of responsibilities between school and parent because the parent is the most appropriate actor to encourage the children and also for the children to have basic family skills.nThe existence of a good example: the school model for kindergartens, elementary and ST. Schools either under the auspices of YKW directly or who are trained by YKW where the school uses effective educationnEffective school management: appropriate amount of salary, openness to renewal, availability of teaching materials, availability of infrastructure, communication methods and strong and effective equal work, as well as transparent administrationnGovernment involvement: a communication that supports cooperation. Through the government lobbying supports the educational concept of YKW affecting the quality of public education in Jayawijaya.nnGeneral Program OrganizationnExisting YKW programs specifically for training, to develop and provide technical support to teachers and local schools inside and outside Wamena. In the process, the outcomes of the training activities are monitored and continuously evaluated by the training team in cooperation with local schools.
