If you interested to feel 'peranakan' or Chinese house or ever been to Penang - Malaysia, this is the place to go in Central Java. Don't forget to try their 'warung' where you can taste some old Chinese food as well

a week ago we visited Tiongkok Kecil Heritage. We stayed at one of the 3 old antique buildings. The old room with 2 big lampions was amazing, with the sound of wallet birds coming around in the afternoon and morning. The breakfast with traditional Lasem foods : fish mangut, urap latoh, spicy rice, accompany with ginger tea n traditional snack were delicious.We had breakfast with the owner, a humble person and friendly. I really enjoy Lasem, small and beautiful city. 1-2 days is not enough. We will come again. Hopefully some old heritage buiding such as lawang ombo n muesum Nyah Lasem will open for public.

One of many places must visit in Lasem. The history of Oemah Merah and batik, are very interesting.

It was nice staying here, unique concept. Staffs are kind and very helpful. Tasty breakfast! It was a wonderful experience!

the homestay is very interesting with its ancient buildings, so it feels comfortable to stay here the rooms are really spacious the bathrooms are also very nice and clean, the staff there are very helpful, the breakfast is cute, there are market snacks and the herbs feel back to the old days.
