It is still in its original state as it has never been renovated. It has traditional clothes worn by the kings and queens, as well as musical instruments. It provided homemade ginger coffee which was great. The staff was friendly. He explained the history well..

The place has a lot of history and best to listen to the explanation by the caretaker of the palace name Sh. Hamdan Al Qadrie. It is recommended to donate some money to the place.nNeed not to worry about leaving your shoes at the staircase of the palace. An old guy will keep an eye on the shoes and you can give him some money as token of appreciation when you leave the place.

I got a lot of stories when I entered this palace. I have a slightly unpleasant experience when taking photos. My advice, before you take a picture of the surrounding area, it is better to get permission from the palace crew. There, you will meet someone who is ready to guide and tell about the history of the palace. So far, this is a destination that you must visit when coming to Pontianak.
