The people are just lovely. Air conditioning works great. Breakfasts are good, the rooms are a little dated and the double bed feels like an oversized single bed. Good feel about the place though. This probably comes from the people.

Nice place to stay but unfortunately the museum was closed because of Sunday, no one was incharge.

A museum of Sumba, also a laboratory of Sumba culture in Weetebula, the capital of Southwest Sumba. It has about 1000 of artifacts from around Sumba, including the magnificent hand-woven traditional cloths around Sumba island. It is a big complex with 3 big and tall buildings as the museums and some small guesthouses. It opens at 8 in the morning and closes at 4 in the afternoon for the museum, but opens for 24 hours for the guesthouse.nnIf you want to do the museum tour, there will be a guide who will accompany and explain about the history and the artifacts of Sumba. No entrance fee for the museum tour, but you can give donations to maintain/preserve it. Their collections are amazing and the guide is very keen to explain everything thoroughly, just like listening to a story. He will answer your questions as well.nnOne of it business units is the guesthouse. The room is quite spacious, some are dormitory rooms, with bank-beds. You can also conduct a meeting here for about 100-200 packages. They have big restaurant that will serve the guests who stay there. There is also a souvenirs shop near to the restaurant. It sells t-shirts, postcards, traditional cloths, etc.nnThe environment is so good with green grass and tall trees on the way to the entrance gate. The staffs are helpful and friendly.

Unique accomodation concept, traditional yet modern. Marketing needs to be more active cause this place is beautiful
