I have been to this aquarium twice and it never disappoints! It is a charming little aquarium, and you can tell the people who work there have a real passion for what they do. I appreciate that it is a sustainable aquarium that releases the specimens back into the ocean every year. It is amazing to learn about the variety of life that lives in our own local ocean.

Interesting, welcoming place on a cold blustery day! How did I not know it's been here for almost 20yrs? Looks fresh & airy, good kid-level access (although no touching at this time)nAll the critters are released back to their natural habitats at the end of every November, sometimes meaning a winter scuba dive for the staff! Closed Dec/Jan/Feb

Interesting little aquarium, entertained our family for 45min or so.nLearnt about the ‘catch and release’ system they operate, how all the marine life on display comes from within ~5km of the aquarium and how they empty all the tanks every season and release all the wildlife back into the ocean.nThe $15 entry for adults seemed a bit pricey but when you consider kids under 12 are free and it’s run by a not-for-profit it is not unreasonable for the experiencenThey have a one-way system in place during COVID to keep people spaced.nWould recommend

Really enjoyed my visit here! The staff were amazing and answered my many questions. It's only a small aquarium but they have such a great array of sea-life. I ended up spending around an hour in there, taking in all of the information they have on display and seeing things I have never seen before! Definitely worth the trip.

Even if you don't normally visit aquariums you should visit this one as the staff operate a catch and release system each year. Catch the collection in March and release it back into the sea at the end of the same year. The staff are knowledgeable and enthusiastic and devoted.
