Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

This aquarium is so big and it exhibits a lot of different sea creatures

One of the bigger and better aquariums in Japan. When you go there are plenty of school kids around but they are well behaved and stick to their groups. Managed to see some awesome sealife and the crabs looks tasty. Would be great for a family visit with a young family or on your own as a tourist like I did. Either way it was plenty of fun.

We really enjoyed this Aquarium on our trip to Osaka. Perfect for families, however it does tend to get very crowded and there’s not a proper queuing or walk way system. I loved how there was an absolute huge variety of marine animals to see. The surrounding area of the Aquarium is also stunning. I would highly recommend visiting ud83dudc4dud83cudffc

I highly recommend this place. It was fun got to see plenty of exotic creatures in the aquarium. I fancy the preserved specimen room the most. You guys should bring a notebook when coming here since they have stamps for ya to check-in.

PRO TIP - Time your visit to coincide with whale-shark feeding time. The whale-sharks themselves are mesmerizing as they become almost-vertical, taking in giant gulps of krill and water. Meanwhile the surplus krill change the dynamic of the tank, as the school fish rise to the top to feed, and the predators stalk the school fish. Felt like we saw 2 completely different shows.
