Umata Village

I have taken a jungle tour with this amazing father/daughter company. We have been to 2 different traditional villages where the medicinemen live with their families in a beautiful Uma (longhouse). Yan is a fantastic guide who has taught me a lot about the mentawai culture. The jungle tour was physically quite intense, so after the jungle tour we stayed at their accomodation to relax. Truely a beautiful place where you can go swim, surf, snorkle, fishing and go to the mangrove forest. The chef that was hired cooked delicious food 3 times a day. Highly recomended!

at 2003 there a sweet memories at there, i was imagine that can visit this place ( still virgins ), now we have facilities, what amazing opurtunity i think, this place tell us, peacefull, freedom, paradise, keep up the good work, who made this place for living, thank you, salute

Perfect place where to stay in the Mentawaii. For surfing, just to relax on the beach or as starting point for inland trekking.

After an impressive boy tour, this was exactly the right place to relax. Yan and Sita have a lot of experience in suggesting the right program, great contacts and very careful organization.
