Burned in 2017 and completely renovated, Pasar Atas Bukittinggi was inaugurated on 18 June 2020 by the Ministry of PUPR. Bukittinggi residents and travelers can again enjoy the shopping experience at this market. It is now a modern and environmentally friendly market, the Basement can accommodate many vehicles. Market conditions are still clean. Hopefully it will be kept clean all the time.nnEven though the booths in the market have not been replenished by many traders, the visit here is still worth it. Because, various shopping and culinary activities can still be done by visiting various booths around Pasar Atas.nnApart from shopping for Agam's special embroidery, we can also enjoy kapau rice dishes, ampiang dadiah, roasted kapik bananas, and so on, as well as taking selfies against the gadang clock background.

Good choice for Nasi Kapau. There are many Nasi Kapau stalls all beside each other. Uni Lis has the most choice and is the most popular. Visually the food looks the tastiest and freshest of the lot, possibly because it gets consumed the fastest.nNext to the Nasi Kapau area are stalls selling clothes, food and souvenirs. Bargain hard on everything.
