This is an amazing swimming hole tucked away in the jungles of West Sumatra. It takes about 2 hours hiking each way to get to it but it's an awesome hike through beautiful jungle scenery and once you are jumping into the clean, clear pool you will forget all about how hot and sweaty you got getting here. We got picked up in Padang, did the hike and ate lunch at the waterfall and then had our guides drop us off in Bukittinggi that night which made for an amazing first day to our long weekend adventure in West Sumatra. Our guide told us it can get quite crowded with locals in the weekend so I would definitely recommend going during the week if possible. On a Friday we had the whole thing to ourselves for hours. We also ran into some amazingly weird and cool Lantern flies on the hike which made the whole experience even cooler!
